The other day I was writing a blog post about the power of using zinc sunscreens to stave off skin cancer and brown spots caused by the sun repeatedly hitting our skin during our short car rides to the store, gym, work, etc- adding up to regular exposure over and over creating unwanted dark spots on our chest arms and face. You can read more about that here.   In this edition of my blog, I want to share with you why I adore carrot seed oil to prevent skin damage and dark spots in the first place while sharing some medical research so you will appreciate and understand why I include it in two products that I make. Our Bright Eyes and Day Cream as well as the Carrot & Tamanu Elixir. Both have carrot seed oil in them (among other beneficial skin ingredients, like Borage, Lavender, Evening Primrose, Avocado Oil, Tamanu Oil etc.,) to help nourish and protect the skin from ultraviolet rays that can cause sun damage (wrinkles, age spots, skin carcinoma a.k.a.-cancer).
