Acrylic Slow Drying Medium was created to address the speed at which acrylic paint dries; it allows you to work with paint for longer. Whilst people who enjoy working with acrylics usually enjoy the fast-drying quality of this paint, sometimes it is helpful to slow the drying time down. Acrylic Slow Drying Medium keeps paint open for longer and is especially useful when blending colours. Here we mix the medium with Professional Acrylic Permanent Rose and Professional Acrylic Phthalo Blue (Red Shade) and then paint a large swatch of these colours next to each other. Using a palette knife and a brush, we show how the colours can be manipulated and blended for far longer because of the addition of the medium; it adds fluidity and transparency to the colours as well. Finally, a third colour is added on top and dragged through the lower layers to demonstrate how long you can work with acrylic colours and Slow Drying Medium.
