Learn to arm knit a deliciously soft 100% Merino wool blanket with knitter Elise Blaha Cripe. This workshop includes 4.4 pounds of spun Merino wool yarn in the color of your choice: ecru, fir or navy. We've sourced the coziest Merino wool and work directly with the Italian mill that produces our material of choice. At 19 microns, it's the softest spun wool available on the market to offer a truly beautiful finished product. Due to the natural state of wool, thickness will vary by batch. Our artist shares how to 'split' your wool to make an even larger blanket if you wish. The 4.4lb skein in this kit will make a cozy lap throw but you can purchase additional skeins to build a larger bed-sized blanket. Arm knitting is such a quick and wonderful technique to learn -- you'll soon be able to knit a full blanket in less than an hour. They make the perfect housewarming gift or throw for all of the cozy corners in your home. This kit makes roughly a 40x40 lap blanket but depending on how loosely you knit you may end up with a blanket that is slightly larger or smaller. You can buy extra skeins of wool below for a larger blanket. Care: spot treat your Merino wool blanket, washing and drying will cause it to felt.
