Bead alongside our Indigenous Engagement Coordinator in a beading circle for adult Indigenous beadworkers of all skill levels. Bring a project you’ve already started, or start something new! Supplies, coffee, tea, and snacks will be provided.
We request a donation of $5 to help offset supplies and food for this event. If the cost is not feasible for you at this time, simply use the code 'circle' at checkout and the event will be free of charge! If you have any questions please reach out to us at bailey@.
Please note this event is for Indigenous participants only. We appreciate the enthusiasm, appreciation and interest in beading practices from those with other cultural backgrounds, however, Nanaimo Art Gallery would like to support safe and sheltered spaces for Indigenous beaders to connect and learn with one another. We recognize this work as community support and will encourage this group to define their own needs in building relational practices with one another.
