Beading needles are an absolute necessity for every beader or crafter. Big Eye Needles are perfect for use with Stretchy Cord (see our listing for Opelon), stringing beads for Kumihimo or Bead Crochet and for kids' stringing/craft projects. Big Eye needles are created by soldering the ends of 2 pieces of thin metal together to form an eye large enough to allow virtually any item to pass through it. You can use Big Eye Needles from either end just use your nail to split open the 2 halves and insert your stringing material. The ends are slightly sharp/slightly blunt and I have used these needles with children as young as 5 years WITH supervision. Double your desired length of stretchy cord, add a few extra inches for tying a knot, insert the Big Eye Needle at the half way point and attach a Bead Stopper or even a piece of tape to the 2 ends.
