Looking to add some more variety to your work and have it stand out from the crowd?

Hoping to add some consistency to your hand-built pots?

Tired of relying on pre-made commercial forms (you know, those same shapes everyone else has?) to make your work?

In the Making & Working with Bisque Molds virtual workshop, I'll show you how you can use simple techniques to create elegant and unique pots. You'll never have to rely on using commercial forms again!

Every pot that I make is constructed using a bisque mold. In all my years of working with clay, I've found that bisque molds are one of the best ways to hand-build consistent and unique-to-you shapes. I love that they can both add variety to what you do, while also allowing you to make the same shape repeatedly. And the great thing is that you can bisque molds with tools you already have on hand! No messy plaster mixing needed!

In this virtual workshop you will learn:

  • How to make a bisque mold for a rectangular serving tray, as well as different strategies for forming bisque molds
  • How to refine and hollow out your form to get a sturdy, reusable bisque mold
  • How to use the bisque mold to make a footed rectangular tray
  • Plus there is a bonus lesson on how I mix my joining slip!
