Used by both the professional and the hobbyist, it combines the features of a backing press, finishing press, standing press and brass-edged boards. Two vertical edges reinforced with brass strip. The large handle makes it easy to carry. It is constructed of the finest quality Baltic Birch Plywood, which is a plywood made of 13 layers of board and free of voids and defects. It has the greatest uniformity, rigidity, and flatness of any plywood, and is perfect for book press construction. The brass edges protrude from the surface of the press to aid in creating the hinge (French groove) on the covers of a hard cover book.Overall dimensions: 16" x 10" x 8" high. Working space: 13-1/2" x 10" x 4" high. Weight: approx. 10 lbs.
