Here is a stunning antique black dot paste brooch, probably from the early 1800s Georgian period. This amazing rare surviving brooch is a great smaller size made from foiled back black dot paste stones which are set into a silver back, lovely larger stone to the centre. The silver back is not hallmarked but I believe that is very normal for a piece of this age, strong C clasp fastener.

Antique Georgian black dot paste brooch (easily wearable as a pendant as well) in excellent condition. Pastes all appear to be original and are in great condition; all secure within their original silver collet settings. Brooch itself tests as 14k (and is likely 15k as would be typical with the period). Foiled and closed back, so should not be submerged in water. Measures 32.3 mm wide with the pear/teardrop measuring 22.3 x 14.8 mm.
