The other day someone asked me what she could be for Halloween that wasn't slutty. "I have a party to go to, and kids will be there," she said. "But every costume I see is slutty. I even saw a slutty pizza costume!" I told her to wait for this post. The Smurfette makeup look provides maximum impact and not nearly as much effort as you'd think. It's also about as far from slutty as you can get. Our very own Lindy Segal was game enough to be our oh-so-blue model. Neil Young, the same senior artist for MAC Cosmetics who created my Elizabeth Taylor makeup, concocted this one. Here's how to copy it. Step 1: Smurfette's Unique Blue Tone Neil mixed together the Marine Ultra and Cyan Blue MAC Paint Sticks to get that Smurf-y color. He painted it all over Lindy's face, including her eyebrows, with a brush. After completing the first coat, he set it with invisible powder, added another layer of blue paint, and set that with powder too. Note: You can use regular face paint for this as well.
