Meguiar's Ultra-Cut Compound (105) - Fast-Acting Cutting Compound

Meguiar's Ultra-Cut Compound (105) delivers a high level of cut in a very short space of time and is ideal for situations where a high degree of correction is required on harder paint types. Users should note that it is designed to work extremely quickly and therefore behaves differently to many rival compounds; any attempt to rewet it during use (to extend its working time) or overwork it will result in a huge amount of dusting and will also make its residue harder to buff off. As long as these mistakes are avoided, Meguiar's Ultra-Cut Compound (105) delivers excellent results, and best of all is the time-saving it offers; because fewer passes are needed per set, cutting back an entire car takes noticeably less time.

Meguiar's Ultra-Cut Compound (105) is a fast-acting liquid abrasive designed to permanently remove heavier paint defects such as swirl marks, light scratches and acid etching, and leave a superior high gloss finish ready for final refinement. Meguiar's Ultra-Cut Compound (105) comprises a unique blend of precision-milled non-diminishing micro-abrasives (Super Micro-Abrasive Technology, or SMAT for short), and offers significant advantages in terms of superior finish quality and reduced working time. Suitable for use on both original and refinished paintwork, Meguiar's Ultra-Cut Compound (105) performs equally well with dual action and rotary polishers, and with foam and wool pads, making it ideally suited to both home and professional use.

Meguiar's Ultra-Cut Compound (105) should only be applied by machine. For best results using a dual action polisher, it should be applied to freshly decontaminated paint using a SCHOLL Concepts Premium Polishing Pad. Only 3-4 pea-sized drops of product are required per 18 x 18 area, and these should be worked in slowly with heavy downward pressure at around 4000-5000 orbits per minute (speed 4-5 on most dual action machine polishers) until only a thin film remains (this will be achieved in just 3-4 passes). This film should then be buffed off carefully using a PB Super Buffing Towel and the finish should then be further refined using Meguiar's Ultra Finishing Polish (205).
