Derwent Inktense Wash Set

Derwent Inktense water soluble pencils are some of the best and most vibrant you'll find anywhere. These pencils can be used dry, but it's when you use them with water that they really come to life and the 'lead' turns into vibrant ink! Once dry, the colours are fixed, and you can safely work over the top of them. This permanency also makes them ideal for working with fabrics like silks and cotton. Round barrel with a thick 4mm core.

Pure vibrant watersoluble ink pencils that combine the intensity of pen and ink with the versatility of line and wash. Use them to create strong vivid tones then wash over with water for a translucent ink-like effect. Once dry this colour wash is permanent and can be worked again using other media. The possibilities are endless. Conforms to ASTM D4236. Includes 24 pencils per tin in assorted colours.
