A fan paint brush is one who has bristles in the fan shape.  A fan brushes bristles may be made from all materials (hog hair, camel hair, etc.), but are usually made from Synthetic [For acryllic painting] or Hog Hair [For oil painting]. The fan brush can be used to make spruce trees, waterfalls, etc. Because of it's unique shape, it can make many different textures and strokes. Bob Ross paints his "happy little trees" with a fan brush.
