Description

Fiddlehead is full of the promise of joyful knitting! One hundred percent alpaca, Fiddlehead is incredibly soft, wonderfully warm, and definitely spunky! Fiddlehead's distinctive structure is similar to bouclé but the alpaca roving runs in curly waves along the central threads, rather than in loops. The result is a yarn that knits up into surprisingly light fabric with a shockingly soft touch and a texture like a curly little lamb! That central thread is also 100% alpaca in either an ecru color or in black. There are seventeen colors in the palette, each one a mix of two shades of alpaca roving for a complexity that makes every stitch deeply satisfying.   Available in 100-gram, 65-yard skeins, Fiddlehead also comes in 2-skein gift bundles. Made in Peru, this fiber is also Peru Fair Trade Certified, which means the mill that makes it is committed to fair and safe working conditions, as well as a respect for the environment, with low-impact production techniques, a responsible consumption of resources, and the reuse, recycling, and reduction of raw materials. It also adheres to European regulations that protect human health and the environment from harmful chemicals Nice!
