Q: How do you apply Gator Hide
A: Store Gator Hide with the blue sponge in a plastic bowl with a lid. Pour about 1/2 to 3/4 of Gator Hide in the bowl and set the sponge in so it absorbs a little, then wipe the sponge bottom across the rim to get off the excess product. Now it's ready to gently wipe in one direction across the piece. Apply a VERY thin coat. Let it dry and repeat 2 more times. It keeps well and is always ready. Add more Gator Hide as needed. ALWAYS stir the jar of Gator Hide before pouring into the bowl. Once it's in the bowl, the sponge keeps it from separating so no need to keep mixing. Don't put too much product into the plastic container or the sponge will absorb too much.

A water repellent clear coat, Gator Hide is super tough, just as its name implies! This water-based poly-acrylic is designed for high traffic areas such as cabinets, counter tops, tabletops and outdoor furniture! To use Gator Hide: Allow your finished piece to completely dry. Simply brush on a thin layer of Gator Hide. Let it dry and after 2 hours, re-apply. Let it dry 2 hours and repeat this up to 3 thin layers to get a water repellent finish!.
