Get rid of unwanted overtones and tailpiece noise! A “must have” for any mandolin player! This is about the cheapest and quickest way to noticeable improve the tone of any mandolin. Simply slip these grommets in between the string pairs in the area between the bridge and tailpiece (see picture.) This will eliminate things like tailpiece buzzing and those really annoying residual overtones you get when you’re trying to kill the chop chord! The result is that when you chop a chord now with these installed, it’s full, woody, and immediately dead when you release the strings. This makes for the most percussive and punctual chop possible, and even makes lead lines come out cleaner. A must have! Comes in pack of 6, so you’ll have a couple spares. Or, buy two packs and have enough to suppress the overtones
