Description

The Bakin hatchet by Mizuno san is a very unique blade. While the edge is sharpened like a carpenter's axe, the cheeks taper inwards behind the bevel. This keeps the axe very thin, making it an incredible bushcrafting and carving tool, as well as a small felling hatchet. Blade Material S45C Carbon Steel Steel Hardness 55-56 HRC Handle Material Burned Oak Handle Length 14"/ 36cm Head Weight 600g (1.32lbs) Total Weight 750g (1.65lbs) Grind Style Straight edge with chisel grind Made in Japan About Mizuno-san - Mizuno Seisakusho was founded in 1937 as a blacksmith factory that specialized in the forging of plane blades for woodworking.
