The Hydro-Bat was created by our owner, Mark Lueders. It's made of a unique material known as hydro-stone. It is stronger than plaster and eliminates the need to use a wire tool. As the piece drys on a hydro-bat it simply pops off. We also make hump molds out of hydro-stone. We carry adapters and other accessories. The Hydro-bat is exclusively made at The Ceramic Shop. The 8.5 Hydrobat is perfect for production of small cups and bowls. The smaller size make them light weight and easy to store away when not in use. The rubber grommets are spaced 6 apart allowing Hydrobat to fit perfectly on a 10 to 6 adapter. All Hydrobats are made from hydrostone plaster to absorb moisture like regular pottery plaster but with extra strength to prevent chips and cracks for those of us with butterfingers.
