A long time running brand of hobby knives, this basic kit comes in it's handmade, box joint, hinged box, Inside are 3 handles for the blades to be attached. 2 are metal, 1 has a molded resin handle with metal extension to hold wider blades. There are 3 boxes of blades that came with this, each still has some in it. Whittling blade box, assortment box and No. 11 blades in the other. Sturdy, handy, almost a household staple for crafting, whittling, wood work on doll houses, you name it. Since 1930s, when Sundel Doniger, a Jewish Polish immigrant to the United States, invented a knife to use as a scalpel, but was told it couldn't be cleaned properly, his brother gave him the idea it would make a great hobby knife. Box has wear, some staining, hinges and latch work well, X-Acto's older black label is on the lid, thinking this kit is 1960s or 1970s but not sure. Blades in the handles have spotting, maybe some rust, Blades in the plastic holder inside the lid have spotting, a little rust.

These blades are double honed for a strong edge and provide precise cuts every time. The included tube safely stores blades not in use. Included is (10) #11 Hobby Blades and (1) Storage Tube.
