Description

siccativated with manganese, cobalt-free, fast-drying Boiled linseed oil often contains oxides or resonates of lead, manganese, and/or cobalt added during heating to shorten the drying time considerably. This oil is used for grounds and varnishes, and tends to yellow and darken with age. Linseed oil varnish is siccated with manganese and shows excellent drying properties, excellent flow and gloss, as well as high water resistance and good wetting properties. Linseed oil varnish is used in the manufacture of corrosion inhibitors in the steel industry and as a corrosion inhibitor in wood preservation. It is also used in the printing ink industry.
