Melasma Emulsion is a prescription product used for treating facial pigmentation. How It Works: This product is an elegant blend of medical-grade hydroquinone, kojic acid, and tretinoin, balanced with just a touch of calming hydrocortisone, to effectively, yet comfortably, release stubborn pigment from the skin. This product is designed to be an ADDITIVE AGENT to other pigment releasing skincare products, such as retinoids, vitamin antioxidants, AHA, and consistent sun protection, and adds that extra kick to get pigment to release. How To Use: Melasma Emulsion is to be APPLIED TO BROWN PATCHES OR SPOTS AT NIGHT, AFTER the application of your routine nighttime skincare products. Pigmentation clearing can be quick or slowly steady if deep or long-standing; most patients are on this product for an average of 6 months. Allow skin to adjust to the Melasma Emulsion by using it one or two nights a week, then slowly increasing frequency over time until you can use it every night. Once adjusted, Dr. Kenner advises patients to use this product every night for 2 months, then take 2 weeks off. If you get a DARKENING of your spots, please let Dr Kenner know. If you are pregnant or trying to become pregnant, please let SkinHappy and your obstetrician know. Use with: SkinHappy Solution Serums, C-boost or Mega CBE & Ferulic Serum, 4- Hexyresorcinol Lightening Gel, Beta Hydroxy Purifying Cleanser, Elta Sunblock, and Colorscience Powdered Sunblock.
