The machined brass ferrule of this tool is fastened by a small nail, which keeps the shank in place while preventing the handle from breaking. When dealing with varying leather thicknesses, this tool features three different-sized grooves that can be used as a slicker for burnishing the edges. You can also use this tool to finish the edges of your leather by adding wax by heating the spatula-shaped blade.
