Oil Pastels apply with excellent coverage and textures resulting in a painterly style onto mixed media and canvas papers or smooth artist canvas and linen. They are delightful to use beginning with the ease of a drawing and resulting with a painterly style. Easy cleanup requires soap and water only. In this 2-day workshop, you’ll practice and create with special techniques unique for this medium such as sgraffito, stippling, scumbling and smooth blending, to name a few. Observe instructor demonstrations, enjoy guided practice, and then create your unique art from favorite land or sea images. Gain confidence as you create your art while working in this very expressive medium.
