Japanese Nori Rice Paste is a starch based paste use in woodblock printing. Nori can be mixed straight onto the block with pigment, inks, gouache or watercolours. The paste acts as an extender and gives the pigments more body and a more uniform appearance. Nori can also be used as an excellent paper glue and can be used in chine colle.
Nori Rice Paste dries clear, will not discolour paper and washes off easily.
