All Saver applicators feature a plastic barrier between the sponge center and the microfiber terry outer, which eliminates excess absorption. This will ultimately save you money as the majority of coating will end up on the vehicle and not trapped deep in the sponge. The barrier layer also limits excess coating buildup, which can become gummy and tacky as it begins to cure.
