In 1949, Parisian painter Henri Goetz approached artist materials manufacture Henri Sennerlier about creating a wax color stick for his good friend--Pablo Picasso. This collaboration produced the Sennelier oil pastel, an exceptional medium featuring top-quality pigments, inert binding mediums that do not oxidize, high saturation and covering potential, creamy texture, and excellent lightfastness rating (save for metallic and fluorescent colors).
