Derwent Studio Collection Set of 36 (32198) – Everything Mixed Media

These pencils are not a soft pencil. They are more for a drawn look with color. Like are similar to the verithins by prismacolor but much bigger range of colors 72. Lee hammond in her colored pencil books shows examples of work done with these. That is why I got her work is great! Holds a point and good for detail. The virtual instructor on you tube shows these pencils in action drawing a bird. this is why I got as well. I haven't used yet but am looking forward to.
