Description

Backstory: Daedalus was a talented artisan who built a Labyrinth (or big maze) for the King of Crete, King Minos. King Minos wanted a Labyrinth to keep the Minotaur (half man, half bull) imprisoned in, and King Minos would feed humans to it to keep it alive. In order to keep the secret of how to escape the Labyrinth safe, King Minos imprisoned Daedalus on an island and made sure no boats sailed near him to rescue him. Daedalus has been a prisoner for several years on the island before the myth by Ovid begins.
