The Skew Registration Jig by Veritas attaches to the Mk. II honing guide (860-8500). You can quickly and accurately set both bevel and skew angles (left & right) on all your chisels and carving tools. The base is machined aluminum with laser-cut angle markings. Markings include all the popular skew plane settings as well as graduations from 10 to 45 degrees.

The Veritas Mk-2 honing guide will enable you to keep all your chisels and plane irons locked in position for every stroke as you sharpen and hone the cutting edge. Once you have your primary bevel; for a secondary bevel, just pull twist, and release the eccentric roller to add 5 degrees. All without changing any angles. It'll sharpen cutters up to 1/2 thick. It'll comfortably lock in place a 1/4 chisel without fear of it moving during a cut.
