By this point in the band's career, their hardcore beginnings were far behind them, as they had been playing together in one iteration or another for a decade at that point, and they were playing and releasing weirdo art rock noise free jazz kind of music for a while at that point. Rollins had long hair, Kira Roessler was on bass, and Black Flag was still just relentlessly touring and creating.
