The thickness of the cement can be easily adjusted by simply leaving the top off the jar for a short period of time (thickening it through evaporation) or adding a small amount of Wapsi Fly Head Cement Thinner. Like all cements that harden by evaporation eventually the cement will start to thicken in the jar as a result of repeated opening and closing of the bottle. When this happens simply add some thinner to bring it back to the desired consistency.

Umpqua Head Cement Thinner goes hand in hand with the Flexament product. As described the thinner will help keep your desired consistency and extend the life of you Flaxament head cement. This fly tying head cement dries clear and rubbery, the strongest of any evaporative head cement. It's also good for feathers (will prevent quills from splitting if applied sparingly) and for anchoring lead wire. Choose cement or thinner in 1 oz. wide mouth plastic bottles.

Thin Skin is a .004? thick, stretchable and transparent sheet material that has a matte finish on one side and a shiny finish on the other. It is backed with a paper backing which makes it easy to cut into strips of all sizes. When the paper is removed, the transparent sheet can easily be tied onto the fly.The printed patterns on Wapsi's Thin Skin can create an extremely realistic and/or dramatic look to the fly.
