Kimberly Hamill is a weaver in Taos, New Mexico. She creates most of her work on a backstrap loom, using her own natural dyed yarns. Kimberly Hamill studied weaving with Rachel Brown, she is, however, mostly self taught in backstrap weaving. She works with techniques based on weave structures of the Andes, such as Andean Pebble Weave. She pushes the boundaries of these structures, creating her own, unique style and weave structures. Kimberly Hamill prefers working on a backstrap loom for its versatility and portability.
