Description:
These stunning red peonies are Kim's absolute favorite plant in the world and for good reason they are absolutely stunning and are so easy to pair with other flowers or shrubs for classy landscape that is sure to impress. These huge 4 flowers also make absolutely glorious bouquets and floral arrangements. Peonies produce their extravagant display in early June every year, regardless of weather, because they are among the most durable and longest-lived plants. They have no natural enemies, no growing requirements beyond full sun and neutral to slightly sweet soil, and they shrug off cold. After bloom is complete, you are left with a handsome mound of glossy, deep green foliage that will happily anchor the next sequence of bloom in the neighborhood.

Planting Instructions:
Sow peony seeds indoors in late winter. Use peat pots and starter mix. Sow the flower seeds on the surface and press the seeds into the soil. These particular type of seeds need light to germinate. Keep flower seeds moist until germination. Another option, and often preferred by many gardeners, is to direct sow the seeds outdoors. The flower seed can be sown in the late fall, late winter, or early spring. Prepare the soil by loosening the top several inches, spread the flower seeds and lightly rake. Firm the soil by walking lightly over the area. Thin the small seedlings to 15 - 18 inches apart. Peony plants perform best in areas where summers are cool or dry. They are not a good choice for humid regions.
